Lesson 11

Those who believe in Jesus do not possess eternal life now, they inherit it when he returns at the trumpet blast. The world is an ecological disaster when Jesus returns, he said that if he waited any longer to come back no one would be left alive.

Matthew 24:21-22 King James Version
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

The Kings of the world only make things worse by fighting the returning armies of Jesus. After the bloody battle, healing waters flow, gradually rejuvenating the world.

8 In both summer and winter, life-giving streams will flow from Jerusalem, half of them to the Dead Sea in the east and half to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.

Satan is chained in a pit when Jesus comes to rule the world with his followers. Those who faithfully followed Jesus will be rulers during the millennium. Do you believe these verses are foretelling future events or are they poetic allegory? What lessons do these verses teach us?

20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven. He had in his hand a key to the hole without a bottom. He also had a strong chain. 2 He took hold of the dragon, that old snake, who is the Devil, or Satan, and chained him for 1,000 years. 3 The angel threw the devil into the hole without a bottom. He shut it and locked him in it. He could not fool the nations anymore until the 1,000 years were completed. After this he must be free for awhile.
4 Then I saw thrones. Those who were sitting there were given the power to judge. I saw the souls of those who had been killed because they told about Jesus and preached the Word of God. They had not worshiped the wild animal or his false god. They had not received his mark on their foreheads or hands. They lived again and were leaders along with Christ for 1,000 years.
